Anabolic steroids use different names in the market today so as to hide their true identity from buyers. This is because the moment users hear of the name anabolic steroids, they become paranoid of the devastating side effects that experts and the media have inculcated in their minds. Some famous brand names available in the market that work as testosterone boosters are dianabol supplements, testosterone propionate, stanzolol supplements, testosterone enanthate, and many others, but they belong to one category; anabolic steroids, the testosterone boosters. In the sale of their products, manufacturers use the terms androgens, androgenic, anabolic-androgenic steroids, or plain anabolic but in truth, they are all anabolic steroids in form or in substance, working in the same capacity as testosterone boosters. In truth, these variations in terminologies serve to create confusion among the public especially the bodybuilders. The aim is to promote an understanding that their products are geared towards anabolic effects which are the positive results that they provide as testosterone boosters, rather than androgenic which are the harmful effects in the body. This is a clear attempt to mislead the public on the true identity and chemical content of their products since anabolic steroids are now banned in the market. So, what is really the significance of anabolic steroids as testosterone boosters in bodybuilding? Do bodybuilders really need them as testosterone boosters for muscle-building? Research studies conducted recently revealed anabolic steroids increase the amount of synthetic muscle-protein breakdown in the body by producing muscle hypertrophy. When a hormone has the ability to stimulate the muscle cell directly to become bigger, a positive nitrogen reaction can be expected. This means that if the quantity of nitrogen is increased through this process rather than eliminate it, there is a great possibility that muscle tissue will be developed. While many researchers agree that the effects of anabolic steroids as testosterone boosters may be achieved through a direct dependence on receptors in the body, there are still doubts if they also have effects which are not dependent from the body receptors indirectly. If there are no steroids receptors present in the body, these testosterone boosters can cause either androgenic or anabolic effects in the body tissues depending on their exertion in the bloodstream. In simple terms, some steroids may cause a reaction though the receptors while others may work independently from the receptors by adhering closely to the blood. They may have the ability to influence other hormones to relate to specific receptors, or produce more specific hormones as testosterone boosters. Some of the steroids effects that are independent from the receptors include displacement of glucocorticoids from the receptors, preventing them from any interaction with genetic compounds of the cell, and stimulation of catabolism. You must also be aware that anabolic steroids, the testosterone boosters, can cause male infertility. A recent study concluded that constant and prolonged use of anabolic steroids can harm the fertility of men since they can result to azoospermia or low sperm count. But while this may be true in most cases, withdrawal from anabolic steroids can restore sperm production in men.
