The importance of only including unique content on your business website

I cannot stress highly enough how important it is that you include only unique content on your website. This is just as relative to your web page content and the articles you may offer from your website or submit to attract traffic to your site.

Many webmasters have been addicted to the ease of sourcing and including PLR articles to their article collections. Some PLR articles are offered free and others for just a small fee. We must consider who it actually benefits from the use of PLR articles. The truth is, you might get some free words, but the real winner is the original owner of these PLR articles, why else would they be giving these away for free.

You must establish yourself as the expert in your niche not someone else. Once it is clear that your articles are not original you effectively establish an element of doubt in your market. While you are relying on creating your readers confidence in you, a PLR article will have the opposite effect.

Your market has been all over the internet searching for the information you are offering, and believe me once someone has read your article once it will be remembered when they read it again, and again on someone else’s website.

Now your potential customer just thinks you’re a copycat at best.
While some articles are rewritten, it really is almost impossible to rewrite articles content beyond 70% originality. The minimal accepted rewrite for article submission sites is 40%, that’s not very different at all. If the search engines do not ignore your articles as duplicates, your reader will notice anyway.

Nothing will turn your market off faster than boring them with the same old boring words they have read over and over again. Your potential client and profits have just surfed on away looking for something new.

It is absolutely recommended that you outsource the creation of your articles.

Let’s face it, we were not all born talented writes, some of us might be pretty good, or even great writers, but there is far more to what would amount to as a successful article that a well written essay.

There is a great deal of difference between writing great fiction and literary masterpieces for ourselves and writing for a market. There is even a large difference in writing a great piece for printed media to writing an article for the internet. A successful internet article needs to take search engine optimization into account.

The goal of an internet article is to be attractive to search engines which in turn attract visitors to your site. This is achieved by the use of specific key words and key word phrases. This coupled with the fact that your intended audience must find the article as interesting and fluid to read as any piece written for print media.

As an expert in your niche your writing may take the direction of a piece that is best understood only by another professional.

An example of this might be niche jargon and technical terms which are plain to us, but not so familiar to your intended market. A professional writer is skilled in recognizing your market, even one who is an expert writer in your field has had ample experience in writing niche pieces to recognize this problem before it makes it to paper.

These points are aside from the actual time factor that distracts your attention away from doing what you do best, managing your business.

The minimum standard word count for an article is approximately 500 words. Writing 500 words on your favorite subject may not sound like a time consuming task, but in fact one 500 word article on its own isn’t really enough to have enough impact for attracting more significant traffic to your website, I recommend 10 articles or more, and these should be regularly updated and added to.

Between me and you, sometimes writing just one 500 word article can take a few hours of hard work in a day.

As an expert in your niche your writing may take the direction of a piece that is best understood only by another professional. One really great advantage of outsourcing your articles is that you are often given an added perspective with a point here or there and interesting piece of information that didn’t occur to you to include. This on its own is a bonus.
